This has now happened 2 times now (once in the fall of 2024 and the other time was 2 or 3 weeks ago) to the driver side seatbelt. Before driving, I buckled and clicked my seat belt and while I was driving, the seat belt unclicked and unlocked on it’s own. The first time this happened, I thought maybe I didn’t secure it all the way, but when it happened a second time, I knew for sure I had fully buckled my seat belt and it unlocked on it’s own. This is a huge safety concern. If I got into an accident and my seat belt became unlocked, I could be killed. And I am concerned about the other seat belts as well. I have 2 small children who are always in the car with either my husband or myself (or both of us). I am concerned that their seat belts could have the same issue. No warning lights went on and I have not had the seat belt inspected yet. I researched online and saw no recalls, so I wanted to make sure this was reported in case others are having the same issue. It’s very concerning. If my vehicle is needed for inspection, I am happy to do so as long as I have another car to drive in the mean time. This is our only vehicle.
