The warning system is over-sensitive. Front Collision Warning — The forward collision warning randomly comes on while driving. Once, I was coming to a stop and at least two car lengths away when the system alerted me. Another time, I was driving down the road, and no one was in front of me when the system came on. This is a safety issue to both the driver, passengers, and others on the road because if the car thinks it’s too close when it’s not, it could violently and abruptly stop, thus causing other vehicles around the driver to crash, too! Rear Cross Traffic Warning — When backing up, the system violently stops the car and throws it into park mode, and there is nothing behind the vehicle. It will do it three times if you try to put it in reverse after being violently stopped. This happens all the time. One time I was in a parking lot with no one around and this happened 3 times before I could safely back up and then drive. The current mitigation is to turn the Rear Cross Traffic Warning off. This is a safety issue because being stopped so violently and abruptly could cause neck and back injuries. This is also a safety issue for others because I have to turn the system off, and there could be an unfortunate accident the system is meant to prevent.
