Since brand new, the engine makes a significantly loud chirping sound at two occasions. First is every time the fuel saving auto start kicks in to start acceleration. The other is any time you come to a stop from above 25-35 MPH. At around 16 MPH, there is a loud chirping as you decelerate. This appears to be a timing malfunction and is affecting fuel economy. The vehicle has 8,800 miles on it, and it is getting worse. It has been looked at 4 times and has not been identified. I know there was a GM bulletin from 2022 about this 6.2L V8 Engine, but they state it is ‘normal’. I have never heard a normal sound of this kind from an engine. And certainly not on a $75K vehicle. Please investigate and make them correct the issue or replace the engines. people work too hard to afford nice vehicles, and should not have to deal with this issue.
