We were driving our truck with our family on vacation. We were going slowly entering the parking lot to our hotel when a sudden loud grinding noise caused our truck to shudder and shake. We stopped and got out and didnt see that we ran over anything. We started to proceed and the sound was the same. We parked in a stall and left the vehicle overnight. No check engine lights were on. No warnings at all. It was Memorial Day weekend 2023. There were no dealerships open where we were vacationing, 3 hours from home. Very inconvenient. Later when the dealer looked at it, the thrust bearing was bad and the engine was shot. Needed a full replacement at 10,600 miles.
