The contact proceeded to stop the vehicle and park on the side of the highway to turn off and restart the vehicle. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to a local independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was probably linked to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V905000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). The contact was informed that the engine had seized and needed to be replaced. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired because parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired.
