I was driving at approximately 40 mph in clear weather on a familiar straight asphalt roadway in our community. I suddenly heard a loud blast. I thought it was an explosion near the roadway. I was terrified, so I immediately pulled over into a supermarket parking lot. There was a policeman there, and I asked him if he had heard the explosion. He did not hear anything but volunteered to check my vehicle. He found that the sunroof was blown out. My sunshade was closed, so no glass entered the cabin of my car. The policeman found some glass on the road at the location I was driving. I have contacted the dealer service, and they should be calling me back. I Googled ‘2020 infiniti QX60 sunroof exploding’ and have found many others with the same issue. I also found a website that is seeking a class action lawsuit. I am so happy that I had the sunshade closed. In the years we’ve owned this car, I’ve opened the sunroof only a few times.
