We received a recall letter for Emission recall dealing with the system reading that the catalytic converter is bad. We had this happen a year ago, and had to have the catalytic converter replaced because it was showing it was bad. This recall letter says that it will show itâs bad, but may not be bad. We spent almost $3000 because we live in a state with inspections. This letter shows that it was the computer that messed up. We are trying to deal with Ford to see if we can get reimbursed since thereâs a recall on the chip. The recall is emission recall 24E12. The work wouldnât have needed done if the chip wouldnât had shown the catalytic converter was bad.
