What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The emergency break system abruptly activates. It has happened on reverse and going forward. One of the times it happened while on reverse it was raining so I thought that was the issue but it has happened on other occasions too. While going forward it happens when I am in fact getting close to a car however there is no risk of a crash and the system over reacts. Instead of allowing me to break on my own smoothly it gs to a complete stop unexpectedly. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The sudden breaking hurts my neck and back, and that of my passengers. It also puts my car at risk of getting rearended by the car behind me due to the sudden and complete stop. Ignoring the crying children that get scared by the sudden stop and think there has been an accident. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No. I emailed the sales rep this morning to complain but no response yet. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.
