I have a 2017 Chevy Tah Z71, and the paint on the hood , now moving to the top of the Tah is showing visible defects. The hood paint started to look cloudy. Even after buffing and polishing it would not improve. Talk to a professional detailer who stated that the problem was with the clear coat. The cost to repair and repaint the vehicle would be way more than an average citizen can afford; especially this day in time. People have mentioned it may require sanding the exterior down to bare metal, which would affect the cars resale value etc ..After doing some research , I do see this is a problem with many GM vehicles. What is GM doing to make this correction. Pics can be sent upon request. Looking to seek a lawyer.
