I received a recall (Safety recall notice 24S37 . NHTSA Recall 24v444 ) notice in the mail. I scheduled with the dealership to have the recall taken care of. When the recall issue was ‘fixed’, I picked up my 2014 Ford f150 stx 3.7L truck and immediately noticed it was running vwry rough and the transmission felt like it was slipping. The truck ran great before going in for the recall issue and had even been fully serviced and tuned up two weeks prior. I called the Ford dealership and explained to them. The truck then would not start but it did continue to crank over. I plugged my computer to it and no codes. I called the dealership back and was told to have it towed (at my expense) back to the dealership so they could fix it and if the issue was under due to the recall service, which it was, I would be reimbursed the money for the tow and the money they charged for a diagnostics. They also found nothing wrong and couldn’t start the truck. They recommended I allow them to perform work to it claiming the spark plugs showed that the engine was flooded but could tell they were new and correctly gapped. After another $700 (for 6 spark plugs to be replaced) it did not fix the issue and they’re not sure what to do. I’ve called the dealership, spoke with the service manager Bill and the GM Bob. They claim there is nothing they can do. I have called Ford Motor customer service twice with no help to fixing the problem. I too my perfectly running truck in for a safety recall and received a broken truck Back. After over $1,200 out of pocket, I still have no truck and no answers and am stuck at the mercy of the dealership.
