The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle lost power steering functionality, causing the steering wheel to become very stiff. The contact proceeded to coast the vehicle to a stop and the traction control light illuminated. Additionally, the messages ‘Service Power Steering Now’ and ‘Advance Track System’ were displayed. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V340000 (STEERING); as a possible cause for the failure.
