The actuator on the Drivers door would not allow the door to open. In the case of an accident the inability to exit the vehicle in case the passenger door was damaged or the damage was to the passenger side this would be a safety issue. The dealer repaired the issue by removing the drivers seat thru the passenger door then removing the door panel and replacing the actuator at the cost of $700 and 16 days. The manufacturer has not inspected the vehicle or the actuator. There was no warning before the problem occurred. I have checked the Honda Accord Forums and found this problem has been happening since the 1990s so obviously the manufacturer should be aware.
