Purchased vehicle brand new. Six months and 10,000 miles later vehicle giving codes that say key missing / check for key. Then another that says key not found put key in center console left cupholder. When the key not found error or key missing error comes on the vehicle will not start. Thankfully this issue happened when I was local as this could strand the occupants in potentially dangerous situations (heat/cold weather, remote locations, ect.). This also prevents the vehicle from shifting into neutral for towing purposes, therefore forces the tow company to ‘drag’ the vehicle onto the flatbed and ‘shake’ the vehicle off the flatbed as the wheels are locked. This happened on and off, sometimes once a day and sometimes can not start car at all that day. The vehicle has been at the dealership for TWO MONTHS now as they have not be able to fix the issue. The dealership has been able to reproduce the problem and has confirmed it is a problem. GM has been contacted about the issue as well. This is the exact same issue as NHTSA ID Number: 11645578
