We have had our Ford F-150 evaluated at least twice at a Ford Dealer and they have no idea why it shifts into neutral when the vehicle is in drive. It doesn’t do it every time. Sometimes it catches and lunges, other times it just revs the engine when trying to accelerate in drive. I have almost been struck on two separate occasions attempting to pull out into traffic and the vehicle shifted back to neutral as I started to pull out (even though it was firmly in drive). This is terribly dangerous!
