Honda issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 19-064) acknowledging this defect and offered an extended warranty for paint repair. However, my vehicle is just slightly outside the 7-year window, and Honda has refused to assist. The cause appears to be a defect in the factory paint or application process, resulting in poor adhesion and premature paint failure. This has impacted the appearance and resale value of the vehicle and may also lead to long-term corrosion if the issue continues to spread.
