I’m reaching out regarding a persistent issue with my Mazda 2019 cx5 infotainment system. The screen is experiencing frequent “ghost touch” or phantom button presses, where functions are activated without any input. This makes the screen erratic and often unusable, creating a distraction and raising safety concerns while driving. I’ve already restarted the system and attempted basic troubleshooting, but the issue continues. I’ve learned that this is a known issue in various Mazda models, and I believe this should be covered for repair, especially since it impacts both functionality and driver focus. I’ve already contacted Mazda customer service and my local dealership; however, they advised that the repair would need to be paid out of pocket. Given the nature of the issue and the potential safety concerns it presents, I strongly believe this is something that should be covered by Mazda.
