On [XXX], I was involved in a major accident while driving my 2024 Nissan Altima SV. I was traveling at approximately 20 mph when another vehicle hit my vehicle from front right coming at a speed of not less than 80 mph. The impact was significant enough that it totaled my car. The accident took place near [XXX] . Despite the severity of the collision, none of the airbags deployeda”including the front and side curtain airbags. I and front passenger were wearing seatbelts at the time. The lack of airbag deployment in a crash of this magnitude presents a serious safety concern and a potential defect in the SRS. The vehicle is still under its original factory warranty, and there were no warning lights or prior faults reported in the airbag system before the crash. This raises serious concerns about the reliability of the vehicleas safety systems. It is still not yet inspected by Nissan yet. Iam reporting this in the interest of public safety and to urge investigation into the possibility of a defective airbag system in this vehicle. I am also in communication with Nissan, for this. I believe this matter deserves full investigation and potential recall action if other vehicles may be affected.
