Description:
Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2024 IC Bus CE school buses. The steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.
Consequences:
A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.
Actions:
Dealers will inspect and replace the defective gears, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 30, 2024. Owners may contact Navistar’s customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar’s number for this recall is 24504.
