First of all, I would like to say that I received an ‘IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL’ notice citing that ‘certain 2022 Chrysler Pacifica vehicles failed to perform’ However, my car’s problem, though similar, is not quite the same as the problem mentioned by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard’ — rear visibility. My car’s DRIVERS’ SIDE VIEW mirror is the one that poses the problem. When I put the vehicle in reverse, the right-side view mirror adjusts so that I can see the right backside of the vehicle. This, unfortunately, does not occur with the left sideview mirror. I can only see the ground. This an obvious determent to the safety of not only myself, but others as well. When I reported this irregularity to Hunter Dodge, I was told that was just the way the mechanism worked. I was told that there was nothing they could do. No one bothered to check it out. No one seemed concerned. This has been an issue since I purchased the vehicle. I don’t know if anyone else has this same issue; but I feel that I am not the only one. This functionality necessary for the prevention of serious injury to pedestrians and/or property. Thank you, in advance for receiving this information.
