Upon reaching about 60 MPH on the freeway, the vehicle suddenly began to shake violently, severely reducing my ability to steer and control the vehicle. After quickly (and dangerously) reducing my speed, it stopped, but it occurred again two more times. I pulled over and turned the car off, did a quick inspection and found nothing out of order. When I resumed my trip, the problem did not occur again. After getting home, I searched the Internet and found out that my Jeep suffered from what is called the ‘Death Wobble’. Apparently, Jeep has known about the problem for years and has not corrected this dangerous and scary defect.
