The contact’s daughter owns a 2015 Bison 5 horse trailer equipped with four Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: G114LHT, Tire Size: 215/75R/17.5H, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated after driving and making several stops, his daughter noticed that the tire treads on three of the driver’s side tire and a passenger’s side tire had separated. The tire dealer was notified and reported the failure to the manufacturer. The contact also contacted the manufacturer, who advised the contact to ship the damaged tires. The contact shipped the damaged tires; however, FedEx lost one of the tires. The manufacturer offered to refund the contact’s daughter for the lost tire and for the repair of the RV driver’s side fender that was damaged due to the tire failure. Additionally, the manufacturer offered to provide a voucher to partially cover the replacement of the other three tires. The tires were not replaced. The RV fender was repaired by an independent mobile mechanic. The tires failure mileage was approximately 1,500. The RV failure mileage was unknown.
