Ever since I purchased this vehicle in April of 2024, I’ve noticed that the forward collision mitigation system seems to see and respond to things which aren’t in front of the vehicle. It seems like this system is watching the lane to the left of my vehicle, more than the lane which I am in, which causes the over-reactions, (but also means that the adaptive cruise control is less reliable about slowing when traffic ahead of me, in my lane, slows.) This has only rarely resulted in brake activation. Generally, it’s just the warning which comes up on the screen. This happens most times I drive it, and I just live with it. I have had it into the local Honda dealer (Ken Garff Honda Downtown) to be checked out, and they say it’s fine.
