The seatbelt reminder system is broken and someone almost took my door off this morning because I had to open my door to get it to stop. Every day when I drop my kids off at school I have to make sure the vehicle is in park so the seatbelt reminder dsn’t go off. If they open it a second before I put the vehicle in park it will keep beeping and beeping until I turn the car off, open my door, and turn the car on. I had to do that today and at a stop sign. It’s busy by the school so everyone is in a hurry. So it was beeping non stop because my son unbuckled early and the car will keep beeping even if noone is in the seat. I stopped at the stop sign, turned off the car (and it still kept beeping), opened my door to get it to stop, It was at this point the person behind me thought my car was disabled and went around me, almost taking out my door and possibly my arm at the moment. I also have to do this when someone in the back seat moves seats (and we have to put a seatbelt on an empty seat) or even puts some pressure on a seat. If they sit inbetween seats we then have to put a seatbelt on an empty seat. Dealer says this is the way its designed.
