LED daytime running lights are so bright on newer cars that they light the road enough to drive at night without turning the headlights on. the vehicle is completely invisible and black from behind. the dash lights are on all the time so there is no way for the driver to know they are driving at night with the headlights off. this is true with many auto manufacturers, a simple software update could repair most older vehicles on the road today, make the taillights come on with the daytime running lights, that would take care of the safety issue of drivers who forget to manually turn their headlights on at night. the following news cast explains the issue.
