Vehicle would not shift when accelerating on gas pedal while driving, rpms went up to 5,000. Had the car towed to closest dealership and they havent looked at it. They stated they are unable to assist me with a rental car. I am home alone with 2 children and cannot go to work. There is a transmission recall on the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe with the exact problems the car has been having. Recall #236, campaign #22V746000. I called the recall consequences customer service # and they stated they were unable to help me until the dealership looked at it. The problem started in fall of 2024 and I took it into the dealership first on 11/5/24 and again when it continued the problem 11/14/24. The 11/14/24 visit they performed a software update and the car shifted smoother in Smart Drive Mode only. On Friday, 3/14/25, while driving home from work, the car would not shift at all when pressed the gas turning into traffic. I turned on my hazard lights and pulled into a parking lot. I called roadside assistance and had the vehicle towed to the dealership.
