The contact stated that while parked for approximately an hour and the front driver seat unoccupied, the contact’s granddaughter climbed into the front seat from the rear to sit with the front passenger occupant and accidentally depressed the drive (D) button and the vehicle began rolling forward. The vehicle crashed into another parked vehicle. There were no injuries and no police report filed. Additionally, the contact stated that she attempted to switch to each gear and the vehicle’s brake did not need to be applied to shift gears. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
