After having my car plugged in over night, I unplugged my vehicle and put the cap on the charger. Since I was going to be gone for 4 days, I decided to unplug my charger from the wall. Since I had turned my back to the charging port, I didnât notice the charge door was still open. I got in the car and I proceeded to back out of the garage with the door ajar. There is a warning light on the dash but while in reverse in a garage, a number of parking sensors are always beeping so I was desensitized to beeps. The charge door caught the side of the garage door and bent too far backwards and broke. I really wish the vehicle either made you acknowledge the warning before it would move or the warning showed up on the camera screen as well, where your eyes are drawn while reversing versus the screen in front of you.
