ENGINE FAILURE Engine failed at 20k on the highway. The vehicle went into neutral and shut off at 75mph. My wife couldn’t get it all the way off the highway and multiple cars about crashed into it. A semi truck locked up his brakes and almost t-boned the car with my wife and kids in it. My wife and 4 kids had to exit the vehicle and run through heavy traffic to get to a safe place. The car wouldn’t restart and had to be left in the highway. The wrecker couldn’t get the vehicle in neutral to get it up on the flatbed. It had to be dragged in park onto the tow truck. The dealership is saying the engine failed and they have 5 in the shop right now for the same thing. They are saying it will be months before they can get it repaired.
