While driving northbound on a freeway downhill, my vehicle suddenly lost power and displayed a ‘Shift to Park’ message while still in motion. I was unable to accelerate, and the engine became unresponsive. The vehicle began coasting with no power, creating a dangerous situation. A semi-truck was in the lane next to me, and a car was behind me ‘ I nearly got into an accident while trying to safely exit the roadway. This is the second report Ive made regarding the same issue. The unexpected ‘Shift to Park’ malfunction while driving is a serious safety concern that needs immediate attention.
