The ABS module and ESC system malfunctioned. A message stating “Service Electronic Stability Control” appeared on the dashboard. The component is still installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. The ESC warning indicates that the system may be disabled, which could compromise the vehicle’s stability and braking performance—especially in emergency or poor weather conditions. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle, as the malfunction may affect the ability to stop or control the vehicle properly, increasing the risk of an accident. I contacted the dealership and an independent mechanic and they confirmed the issue is related to Recall Z48. However, they also stated that no repair or remedy is currently available. Also, my check engine light is on all the time. I cannot remote start. I few times, I’ve had issues with the brakes and my jeep not starting.
