The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 55-60 MPH, the vehicle made an abnormally loud grinding sound, jerked, and then stalled. The contact’s husband was able to pull over to the side of the road. The ESC warning light was illuminated. The vehicle towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a misfire in cylinder #1. The dealer determined that the driver’s side engine lifters and the camshaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a misfire in cylinder #7. The dealer determined that the passenger’s side engine lifters and camshaft needed to be replaced.
