The nozzle on the flow thru system under the dash (Part No. PC3Z-18490-B) loosened and dropped down directly over the gas and brake pedal. This interfered with the driver’s foot causing the driver to loose control which caused the pickup to run into a fifth wheel trailer hitch while the vehicle was in reverse. The tailgate of the vehicle was damaged but, luckily, no one was injured. However, if this had occurred while the vehicle was on the highway, lives could have been lost. I have temporarily taped the part up under the dash but I have not yet discussed this with a dealer. This incident occurred on February 6, 2025 at approximately 1:00 pm.
