My 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X with 25,000 miles equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine, has experienced engine issues and total failure. Dave Sinclair a GM dealer in St. Louis Missouri indicated that bearing failure and lower lifter defects led to engine seizure, engine failure and block damage. This resulting in the need for a new/ replacement engine. I brought my GMC into Dave Sinclair service center on 2-11-2025 due to engine knocking and loss of power, then on 3-10-2025 experienced complete engine failure and total breakdown on Highway 30 resulting in traffic risks and issues. No warning lamps or messages. I routinely have the vehicle maintained at Dave Sinclair per their recommend mileage/time. As of 4-18-2025 I’ve not receive a replacement engine.
