The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound coming from the steering wheel and the vehicle became difficult to maneuver. The failure had occurred on several occasions. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the electronic steering gearbox needed to be replaced.
