The contact owned a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle occasionally drifted to the left or right. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated while attempting to turn the steering wheel, excessive force was needed while turning the steering wheel. The contact stated that the steering wheel was stuck occasionally. No warning lights were illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was test driven and diagnosed. The contact was informed that the rack and pinion and the front driverâs and passengerâs side tie rods needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall for similar vehicles between 2022 — 2025; however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact attempted to contact the manufacturer; however, was unable to get through the prompts. The contact stated that the dealer had submitted paperwork to the manufacturer to verify any recalls. The failure mileage was 45,350.
