The contact owned a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while his stepdaughter was driving at 40 MPH during rainy conditions, the railroad track poles were lowered. The contact’s daughter crashed the front of the vehicle into the railroad poles. There were no warning lights illuminated. The drivers and passengers side air bags did not deploy. The vehicle came to a stop when the railroad poles landed in the middle of the vehicle. There was property damage to the railroad poles. A police report was filed. The contact and the passenger did not suffer any injuries. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The contact believed the vehicle would be deemed a total loss however, it was not confirmed yet. The contact mentioned that about six months ago the fender and bumper were placed due to his stepdaughter having an accident. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 30,000.
