Jaguar has had multiple recalls for the 2019 I-Pace to address the potential of a thermal overload event with the high voltage/traction battery through the use of software updates. The vehicle has a stated warranty that covers defects, and is good for 8 years/100,000 miles. The most recent software update has limited the ability to charge the battery to a max capacity of 80%, which was made available in November of 2023. It is not March of 2024 and a permanent fix has not been made available, and have been continue to drive vehicles that may be at risk for a fire. Jaguar ds not be interested in honoring the terms of their warranty to replace a defective battery.
